In 2018, founder Brandon Kostinsky started Bauen without a roadmap — coming from a family restaurant background, with no obvious bridge into manufacturing or engineering. Just long hours, self-teaching, and a growing conviction that 3D technology could solve real problems if someone took it seriously enough.
Early projects didn't come from reputation or scale — they came because someone was willing to trust us, and we were willing to take full responsibility when others wouldn't. Broken parts with no drawings. Obsolete components with no manufacturer support. Printers written off that still had life left in them.
