While we strive for efficient turnaround, 3D printer repair is inherently more time-intensive than many other types of technical service for several key reasons:
 • Iterative Diagnostics:
 Unlike most electronics, 3D printers require test prints after each adjustment. Each diagnostic cycle—adjust, print, evaluate—can take hours or even overnight. It’s not uncommon to run a 12-hour test print only to identify a new problem, requiring further troubleshooting.
 • Extensive Calibration:
 Successful repair demands meticulous calibration: bed leveling, axis alignment, belt tensioning, and part testing. Achieving reliable print quality is a multi-step process, not a quick fix.
 • Complex Problem-Solving:
 Diagnosing failures is rarely straightforward. Issues may stem from hardware, software, or design problems, often requiring a methodical process of elimination to identify the root cause. This investigative approach can significantly extend repair time.
 • Parts Sourcing & Lead Times:
 With the wide variety of 3D printer models and brands, sourcing the right parts can be unpredictable. Common components may be readily available, but specialized or imported parts can take up to three weeks (or longer) to arrive, especially if back-ordered or subject to manufacturer delays.

Our contracts typically include scheduled maintenance visits to ensure your 3D printer(s) operate at optimal efficiency, as well as discounts on non-scheduled service calls /emergency repairs and parts.

Our standard biannual scheduled maintenance contracts includes:
1. 3x year scheduled maintenance 
2. 12% discount on all parts and labor (emergency and regular service)
3. Priority service & support and more
